If you already know that your area is suitable, then you can then prepare the site for planting. This might seem like an odd point, but if you harvest basil leaves before the plant has finished blooming, then you won’t have any leaves at all! Therefore, you should always make sure that you know when to pick the leaves off of your plants. If you harvest too early, then the plant will not be able to grow any foliage at all.
One of the most important factors in growing a basil plant from seed is finding a good location. You can find basil in most areas, but they grow best in sunny locations. In order to find a sunny location for growing a basil plant, you need to look at the type of soil that’s located under where you plan to plant it.
Do you live in a warm climate? Then your basil plant should do well in a sunny location. If you live in a cold or rainy climate, then you should consider placing the plant further back in your garden. Basil likes lots of sunshine and can grow successfully in almost any location, but they do better in areas that receive a lot of sunlight. Basil is an herb that can also do very well in potting soil, so you should definitely consider this option if you want to plant the herb in your garden.
What kind of soil does your area have? The most important factor in determining whether your plant will do well is the quality of the soil. If your soil is well-drained, then your basil plant will do well. If the soil is not well-drained, then your plant will struggle. You will need to test the soil to see what the pH levels are, as well as determine if the plant will do well in organic or inorganic materials.
