Guide On Knowing The Herbs That Can Be Planted Together

Posted on October 20, 2021

Today I am going to talk to you about the herbs that can be planted together for a more natural way of growing your herbs. In the past, herbs were grown in their own garden, but often times they would be combined with other plants in the garden and then the herbs would be used as decoration. We had a herb section in our local grocery store called the herb section. It wasn’t very wide and there was always at least one other plant or several plants inside the section.

Fennel seed is the most common of the herbs that can be planted together for a garden. It is not only a very easy herb to grow, but it also grows well together with other common herbs. Fennel is very easy to grow, doesn’t need a lot of maintenance and doesn’t burn your feet. Fennel is often first mowed for the first year and then allowed to grow unrestricted. Fennel has a flavor that is distinct and when it is dried and made into a tea, it is very pleasant.

Another one of the plants I like to use when growing herbs that can be planted together for a more natural, companion planting experience is alfalfa. It is slightly more difficult than fennel, but just as easy to grow and maintain. Alfalfa will tolerate a bit more fertilizer but does great in the garden. It’s a great low-maintenance vegetable.

For a more traditional way of planting, you may want to try growing basil and mint in the same pot. They will grow very well together and you will have a constant supply of mint. Mint and basil both taste good and are easily grown in most areas. Both are perennial herbs and both do quite well in flower and vegetable gardens.

In the Mediterranean, there are two plants that rank high on my list for herbs that can be planted together for a natural, Mediterranean experience: Rosemary and olive leaf extract. Rosemary is very tough and withstands most frost conditions. Olive leaf extract is great for your heart and circulatory system.

Speaking of growing herbs that can be planted together for a Mediterranean garden, another plant that I am fond of growing is oregano. This herb grows tall and blooms with lovely purple flowers. When planted, oregano is an evergreen perennial that needs little care. It usually grows in sunny or partially shaded areas. If you live in an area where you get rain, you can easily provide your plants with water supply via a watering can or a planter hose.

When you are ready to plant your herbs in the soil, the easiest way to do so is with herb garden kits that contain all of the soil, fertilizer, planting instructions and plant food. Planting herbs that can be planted together in a container is not difficult if you follow the planting instructions carefully and make sure that you have the proper drainage in your containers. You can add extra organic matter to the soil as well as compost to help the soil retain moisture.

To be able to grow herbs that can be planted together in a container, you first need to find a growing herbs kit that contains healthy growing herbs. Some kits contain one or two varieties of each herb. If you want to be able to grow several varieties of the same herb, you should buy more than just one growing herbs kit. Once you have found a good growing herbs kit, you will need to choose the pots that contain the herbs you want to grow. There are many window boxes available to hold the pots on your windows.
